To celebrate my first year as a blogger, I just changed the look of this blog! When I first set it up, I was overwhelmed by all the choices of templates, so I picked a completely bland, boring one. Now that I am more adventurous, I have selected a brighter color scheme, green to honor the environment!

I have been a Lecturer in English as a Second Language at the University of Maryland, College Park (Maryland English Institute) since 1981. Since beginning my ESL career in France in 1971, I have taught primarily in higher education settings. I also enjoy working with adults from the immigrant community. I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland with my husband Christoforos and our daughter, Vicki.
